Het Gouden Boekje/ Little Golden Book
De school is jarig/ It’s the school’s birthday
Little Golden books are a household name and an often-seen guest in children's bookcases. Dutch publisher ‘De Bezige Bij’ introduced these recognisable booklets because of their golden spine, in 1953. Nowadays the books are in the hands of publisher Rubinstein who strives for the continuity of real Dutch stories. Well, the Hollandse School in Singapore definitely has a story to tell and therefore the school published its own Little Golden Book, commemorating its 100 th birthday. A very special occasion that needs to be celebrated: in real life & print. A memory for life and the must-have addition to the shiny golden ridges in your child’s bookcase!
